Hans Zeeldieb (born in 1989, based in Marseille) is a self-taught photographer specializing in portraiture.
He uses a large-format camera from the late 19th century and alternative analog techniques.
His work is both documentary and poetic, deeply focused on the human being. Photography is, above all, an excuse to connect with others and discover new worlds.
The materiality of the analog medium, the hacking of processes, and DIY practices lie at the heart of his approach, allowing him to create a singular photographic language. Building a human archive, collecting the beauty of others, touching a sensitive point in the viewer, creating a deep connection between the observer and the observed—this is the essence of his photography.
